With everyone as excited as they are for all of the Playstation Move games that are coming out, many of us forget that we need the hardware to go along with it!  This is where the Playstation Move bundle comes into play.  As of right now, there are two separate bundles that are out there.  One is designed for those of us that already have the console, and one that is for those that don’t (or are looking to upgrade to PS Slim).  In this post I want to share the details of both of these with you, as well as how buying them is going to save you a lot of money.

Playstation Move Starter Bundle

The Playstation Move Starter Bundle comes with the wand, Playstation Eye (which is needed for Move to work), and the game Sports Champions.

For one player play, this is really all you need to get started with Move. There is a second controller designed to work with the wand, but it’s been reported that the standard Sixaxis Playstation controller will work just as well. I don’t know how easy it’s going to be to hold onto the controller that way, but if it saves an extra $50, I’ll figure it out!

If you were to buy each part of this bundle individually, it would be broken down like this: Move Controller $49.99, Sports Champions $39.99, and Playstation Eye $39.99. All of this together is just under $120, by bundling it you’re saving $20 right off the top! Pair this with free shipping from Amazon, and you’re set!

Playstation Move Console Bundle

The hard drive size in this Console Bundle is the 320GB, which makes this an incredible deal.  It’s even good enough that someone like me, who already has a PS3 would want to upgrade!

Doing the math with the numbers from above, the Move parts cost $120, and the 250gb PS3 costs $349.99, bringing the total value to just under $470. At a price of under $400, this is a steal!

So who is this bundle for? The obvious answer is for those that don’t have a PS3, but there are some people, like myself, that still have the old school, hot, noisy PS3 console. There comes a time when an upgrade is needed! So whether you don’t have one, or just want a new one, this is the way to get a new console, while saving a ton of money!

It’s still unknown what Sony’s production level is like for the Move or the console, but odds are it’s going to be in high demand this holiday. I strongly recommend preordering your Playstation Move bundle, or at least getting it shortly after launch. Waiting any longer may prove to be a frustrating mistake!
